Aéro-News – l’Aéroport de Bruxelles (ou Bruxelles-Zaventem) vient de voir transiter sur ses espaces, au cours du mois d’avril 2018, plus de 2,25 millions de voyageurs (soit exactement : 2.253.476 passagers,

Il affiche ainsi, une hausse de +5% par rapport au même mois de l’année écoulée, un nouveau record confirmant les excellents résultats enregistrés depuis le début de l’année.

Le transport de fret n’est pas du reste avec une forte progression de (+4,5%), grâce notamment au fret camionné et au transport à bord des vols commerciaux.

Le trafic passager

Le trafic passager poursuit sa croissance avec un record principalement dû à la forte augmentation du nombre de passagers locaux (+5,6%). De son côté, le nombre de passagers en transfert se stabilise (-0,6%), après la forte hausse de l’été dernier.

Il est à relever l’augmentation du trafic intra-européen de Brussels Airlines avec une forte progression des vols intercontinentaux avec le lancement de plusieurs nouveaux vols longs courriers, principalement ceux de :

  • Cathay Pacific(nouvelle compagnie),
  • Emirates(2e vol quotidien),
  • Hainan Airlines(nouvelles destinations, Shanghai et Shenzhen), RwandAir (nouvelle compagnie),
  • Ainsi que United Airlineset Ethiopian Airlines qui offrent des capacités de sièges supplémentaires.

Le segment des vols de vacances a également particulièrement bien presté en avril, principalement pour TUI fly et Corendon Airlines, malgré le début des congés de Pâques qui a eu lieu à la fin du mois de mars et est donc repris dans le trafic de mars.

Le transport de fret à Brussels Airport

Le transport de fret à Brussels Airport a connu une belle hausse de 4,5% en avril. Le fret aérien reste stable (+0,3%) par rapport au mois d’avril de l’année dernière, alors que le fret camionné a lui très fortement augmenté (+19,5%), confirmant les excellents chiffres dans ce secteur depuis plusieurs mois.

Le segment tout-cargo continue à afficher une forte baisse entamée il y a douze mois en raison des normes sonores plus strictes en Région bruxelloise (-12,6%). Cette diminution est partiellement compensée par une très belle progression du transport de fret à bord d’avions de passagers (+17%).

Les services express ont quant à eux légèrement augmenté (+0,7%). Cette hausse globale du fret aérien s’explique principalement par les exportations importantes depuis l’Europe, les importations augmentant quant à elles légèrement.

Le fret camionné depuis et vers les autres hubs aéroportuaires poursuit sa progression entamée il y a quelques mois, avec une hausse importante de 19,5%, par rapport à avril 2017. La croissance se situe principalement dans le segment des importations.

Le nombre moyen de passagers en avril 2018 est de 129 passagers par vol 

L’accroissement du nombre de passagers, sur Brussels Airport, donne une augmentation du nombre moyen de passagers par vol de 3,2%, de 125 en avril 2017 à 129 passagers par vol en avril 2018.

Sur les quatre premiers mois de l’année, Brussels Airport a accueilli 7,485 millions de passagers (+5,1%), sur un nombre de mouvements en recul de 1,1% ; le fret aérien affiche depuis janvier une baisse de 1,5% par rapport à la même période en 2017.
